1 – The Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade
CNN calls this annual dog parade “the largest dog costume parade in the world.” Every year, some of the cutest and most creative costumes compete for thousands of dollars in prizes. The parade is going virtual this year and the event is free to attend. There is no need to pre-register your pup. Just simply log-in to join the celebration! Click the link above to learn more.

2 – Astoria’s Pumpkins and Pups Instagram Contest
One of our favorite, local Astoria Charities, Just the Small Stuff, will be hosting a Dog Halloween Costume Contest via Instagram. All proceeds of the contest will be benefitting Indigenous Women and the Adabi Healing Shelter. Simply follow @just_the_small_stuff on Instagram and tag them in your Dog’s Halloween Costume Photo. Then send them a copy of your donation. Some of Astoria’s local favorite shops, including Lockwood and Chateau Le Woof, will be handing out prizes to the winners!

3 – Fort Greene’s The Great PUPkin Livestream
Fort Greene Pup’s will be hosting its annual Dog Halloween Costume Contest online this year. You can register your dog’s Halloween Costume Photo between October 10th – October 22nd. You can then vote for the top ten finalists between October 23rd – October 26th. Voting is free and you don’t need to live in Fort Greene to vote. The main event is a live stream on Thursday October 29th of the the Top Ten Finalists.
