1) Barton Orchards – Poughquag, NY
Barton Orchards is a 175-acre Apple Orchard and Vegetable Farm in Poughquag, NY. While there, you must try their famous Apple Cider Donut Sundae and grab a bite to eat from their Farm Market. They also have an outdoor seating area where they sell local Craft Beer, Wine, and Cider. Sometimes they have live music and hay rides, so be sure to check out their calendar before heading there. Dogs are allowed on leash while picking apples with you, but are not allowed in the Vegetable Farm. They also have a fenced in Dog Park where your pup can run around off leash.

Greig Farm is a 300-acre family owned Farm in Red Hook, NY. They have 11 different varieties of apples that you can pick. In addition, they have a farm market and adorable goats that live behind the market. Be sure to check out the nearby hiking trails with gorgeous views of the Catskill Mountains.

3) Masker Orchards – Warwick, NY
Wander through this 200-acre farm with your dog. This farm allows you to drive your car right up to where you want to pick apples. And you can even set up a blanket and picnic for when you’re done picking your apples. On the weekends they have a Snack Barn that sells pizza, beverages, apple pie, and donuts. In addition, they have a Food Truck that offers gourmet macaroni and cheese dishes. Be sure to bring your appetite!

4) Wright’s Farm – Gardiner, NY
In addition to apples, this farm grows cherries, peaches, plums, nectarines, berries, tomatoes, pumpkins, and squash. The Farm Market carries homemade pies, cookies, fruit breads, and apple cider donuts. This farm even allows you to bring your own grill and tailgate after enjoying the day of walking around the farm.

5) Jenkins-Lueken Orchards – New Paltz, NY
This Apple Orchard is located in the beautiful New Paltz area. After enjoying a hike in the area or walking through the town of New Paltz, you can head over to Apple Pick here. They have a dozen different varieties of apples to pick, with labeled rows. They suggest you call ahead of time if you want to pick a certain variety of apples. Their Farm Stand sells fresh fruits and vegetables, their famous cider, and homemade baked pies and apple cider donuts.
