Another Thanksgiving favorite that is highly nutritious for dogs are sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes contain fiber, vitamin B6, and vitamin C. Just like with turkey, be sure not to feed your pup any added ingredients to the sweet potatoes, such as marshmallows, maple syrup, or sugar.

Dogs can eat canned pumpkin, pumpkin seeds, or pumpkin pulp. Pumpkin is loaded with vitamins and nutrients for your dog. The seeds are even known to be a natural deworming agent for tapeworms and other intestinal parasites. Be sure to avoid feeding your dog pumpkin pie.
